Xbox Keeps Freezing? Why It Does And Some Solutions

When my Xbox keeps freezing it can very annoying and I’m sure I’m not alone. At first when it started doing it I was pretty mad. I just forked over 300 dollars and to have this happen it just really made me mad. Microsoft has extended the warranty but mine happen to fall out of the range for it. I broke down and bought a new one hoping it not to the same about a year ago. Sure enough it happened ago. After hearing other peoples stories and how they have gone through 3 or even 4 Xbox 360’s I didn’t fell so bad. (Thanks to their parents probably)

After it happened a second time I decided to look in to it more. After a few days of searching I found out that happens because the Xbox gets too hot and freezes itself. The main issue is that Microsoft didn’t really address this issue very well when releasing the Xbox 360. So far 3 generation of Xbox 360’s have this problem and helpfully the latest doesn’t have this issue.

There are some ways to prevent/fix this problem from happening. One way to prevent freezing is to let the system breath. Don’t put it next to anything and let the airflow flow around it. Also do not put in a drawer or an enclosed entertainment center this eventually heat it up also. Also make sure to purge any dust in it. Dust can reduce the cooling ability by a lot. There are ways to solve this problem. First is to send it to Microsoft and wait a week or to fix it yourself. I opt to fix it myself because my warranty was up.
